Reversed Channel Letters

Channel Letters is one of the more popular forms of sign industry. A Channel Letter is internally illuminated with neon or LED(light emitting diode). Both these are practical light source, energy efficient to operate and light source that can be shaped and still maintain uniform light intensity. Letters are fabricated from aluminum. The sides of the letters (called returns) are typically 5" deep. The finish color can either compliment or contrast with its surroundings. The face of the letter is made of acrylic with a trim around the edges. Trim caps are used to mechanically fasten the face to the returns of the letter. A wide variety of colors are available, with red and white being the most common. There are two basic types of mountings: raceway mount and individual letter mount. The raceway mount consists of a raceway that is used to contain all the electrical components. It also allows the letters to be fastened to a building structure as one unit. The individual letter mount attaches directly to the wall or fascia. All necessary transformers are remotely wired through the wall or fascia. Reverse Channel Letter A reverse channel letter is will cast a shadow of the letter on the object to which it is mounted. Letters are fabricated from welded aluminum and finished with acrylic enamel paints. Illumination is neon or LED, with a wide range of colors to choose from.
